BillSend makes it quick to create a professional invoice. Here is how.
Creating from scratch
- Go to Invoices in your dashboard and click "New Invoice"
- Enter the client name, email, and job description
- Add your line items with descriptions, quantities, and prices
- Set a due date — this tells the client when payment is expected
- Add any payment instructions (bank details, PayPal, etc.) in Settings
- Click "Share" to generate a link and send it to your client
Converting a quote to an invoice
If you quoted for the job first, you can convert the quote to an invoice in one click. Open the quote and click "Create invoice". All the line items, client details, and pricing carry over automatically.
Sending the invoice
Share the invoice link via email, WhatsApp, or any other channel. Your client can view it on any device without creating an account. If you have online payments enabled, they can pay by card directly from the invoice.
Always include a due date. Invoices without due dates get paid later — sometimes much later.
