Accepting card payments from clients

BillSend Pro lets your clients pay invoices by card directly from the invoice link. No separate payment app, no bank details to type out manually.

How it works

1. You send the client their invoice link as normal
2. The client opens the invoice and clicks "Pay now"
3. They enter their card details on a secure Stripe checkout page
4. Payment is processed and the invoice is automatically marked as paid
5. Both you and the client receive a payment confirmation email

Fees

Online card payments are processed by Stripe. Standard Stripe card processing fees apply (typically 1.5% + 20p for UK cards). BillSend does not add its own fee on top.

When does the money arrive?

Stripe typically pays out within 2–7 business days depending on your account settings. You can configure payout frequency in your Stripe dashboard.

Alternative payment methods

You do not have to use online payments. Many small businesses prefer bank transfer. Add your bank details to the payment instructions in Settings — they appear on every invoice automatically.
